Custom Sourdough Orders: Weddings, Parties, and Everything In Between

Most people find us looking for a loaf of bread. Some people need something bigger, a wedding order, a party spread, a gift box for someone who actually appreciates real bread. We do custom orders, but because we're a small wood-fired cottage bakery in Mount Morris, MI, doing one takes a little planning.
Here is what you need to know if you are thinking about placing a custom sourdough order with Renegade Sourdough.
What we can do
If it fits in our wood-fired oven and can be made with real sourdough fermentation, we can probably make it happen. Some common custom requests we handle:
- Large bread orders for events, dinner parties, or family gatherings
- Custom bagel spreads for morning meetings or weekend brunches
- Specialty flavor variations not on our regular weekly menu
- Custom berry or fruit pies made with homegrown berries from our yard
- Gift boxes and holiday orders
Lead time matters
Real sourdough takes time. We don't use commercial yeast, so every batch needs at least 24 to 48 hours of slow fermentation before it even touches the fire. On top of that, our wood-fired oven has a fixed capacity per bake.
For standard menu items in larger quantities, give us at least one week's notice. For large event orders, weddings, or custom flavor requests, two to three weeks is better. The earlier you get in touch, the higher the chance we can fit your bake into our schedule.
Pickup only, no shipping
Like everything else we bake, custom orders are local pickup only from our home-based bakery in Mount Morris, MI. We serve customers coming from Flint, Flushing, Grand Blanc, Montrose, Clio, Swartz Creek, and surrounding Genesee County areas. We don't ship, because bread this fresh shouldn't spend three days in a cardboard box.
